This year's Year in Search Engine list includes nine categories covering the most important topics that interested Poles, but also the problems that Google tried to solve. Among the most-popular slogans were also among others Nobel laureate Olga Tokarczuk or Parliamentary elections.

Every year, Google publishes a list of the most-popular passwords – these searches show what Internet users lived in the past year. Teachers' strike was the first on this year's list, electrifying public opinion just before the summer holidays. Users sought not only information about the strike itself or teachers' demands, but also help in organizing school life during protests. This slogan also came first in the 'Events' category.

Unfortunately, 2019 also had a very sad face, in January Poland was shaken by the death of Gdańsk President Paweł Adamowicz, who was attacked with a knife on the stage during the final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. In August, Polish Internet users followed the dramatic search for Piotr Woźniak-Starak, a film producer who died tragically in an accident on Lake Kisajno. Their names hit the 2nd and 3rd place respectively. The writer Olga Tokarczuk was also among those whose information was sought intensively by Polish Internet users, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in October this year.

What else did Poles do in 2019? It turns out that fulfilling his civic obligations. The Top Ten slogans gaining the fastest popularity were both the European Parliament Elections (4th place in the ranking) and the autumn Parliamentary Elections (7th place in the ranking). In addition to information about the elections themselves and their results, Polish Internet users also sought help on Google regarding participation – the questions "How to vote in EU elections?" And "How to vote in parliamentary elections" were one of the most popular queries entered.

The list of 10 slogans that are gaining the fastest popularity also includes the Sekielski brothers' film "Don't tell anyone". The document also hit the top of the list of the most popular YouTube videos in 2019.
