A surprising story.

The missing person case from 1997 was resolved after more than two decades. All thanks to satellite imagery that goes to Google Maps.

The way the remains of the 40-year-old skeleton were discovered is surprising to say the least. A US property manager looked at satellite imagery available on Google Earth and noticed car sunk in a pond. When he notified the police, officers quickly determined that the vehicle belonged to the missing William Moldt, who was seen in November 1997.

Moldt's body was found in his car, which was sunk near a housing estate near Wellington, Florida. Interestingly, satellite images are from 2007, but only now has someone noticed a corroded vehicle in the water.
