your phone ringing

We had to wait a long time.

It looks like we finally got it. The Your Phone app available for Windows 10 has officially received even deeper integration with smartphones. Latest Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18999 contains a function receive and make voice calls from your smartphone from the computer.

The new option under the increasingly intensively developed application will be available to all smartphone users with Android 7.0 or later. It will be enough to install on the computer Your phone application and on a similar smartphone application from the Play Storeand then activate Bluetooth.

Making and receiving calls is possible from the level of the contact list and the built-in dialer. If you want to reject the call, you can direct the caller to voicemail or send a short text message in response. The call history will be synchronized in real time between your smartphone and computer.

The function is just beginning in the build available to members of the Windows Insider program and its implementation into a stable version of the system will probably take a few more months. Apple users from Apple have been around for a long time with similar receiving and making calls.
