Really unusual equipment.

Did you think that the proportions of screens 21: 9 in smartphones are strange? Well, look at what the company belonging to Andy Rubin decided to share with the world Essential. Smartphone makers Essential Phone have just presented a new device called Project Gem. The equipment is an unusual smartphone, which in shape resembles a TV remote control.

Photos and videos presenting a smartphone with a code name Project Gem appeared on Twitter the co-founder of Android, who left Google several years ago in an atmosphere of scandal. A representative from Essential said in an interview with The Verge that the device is currently being tested and we will soon learn more about it.

Representatives of XDA-Developers came across the code snippets on the network suggesting that the voice assistant on the smartphone is called with the right touch of the back panel of the housing. The prototype works under the control of Android, and its performance is ensured by the Snapdragon 730 system. Besides, we know basically nothing.

What do you think about this shape of the smartphone? It doesn't seem to be particularly convenient for one-handed operation or multimedia playback.
