It's very likely.

OnePlus throughout its history has only tried once with smartphones breaking out of the flagship framework. Here we are talking more specifically about OnePlus X model, which debuted in 2015 on the occasion of the release of the OnePlus 2 model. It turns out that the Chinese may want to try again to offer users more affordable solutions.

It is expected to appear on the market already in 2020 OnePlus 8 Lite. The CAD renderings of this smartphone have entered the network and we can already see what more or less can be expected from the design of the device itself. A flat display and two cameras on the back cover are immediately striking.

The OnePlus 8 Lite flat screen can have a diagonal of 6.4 or 6.5 inches. At the top of the screen will find a single selfie camera. In turn, the back cover of the smartphone will be slightly curved. It will also contain a rectangular camera module containing two sensors and a LED diode. The specification of the camera itself in OnePlus 8 Lite, however, remains unknown at the moment.

According to renderings, OnePlus 8 Lite is expected to offer fingerprint reader embedded under the screen, which allows you to expect that the manufacturer will use in this equipment screen made in OLED technology. Rumors also indicate that the image refresh rate is around 90 Hz, similar to the 7T and 7T Pro models.

The decision to return to the middle shelf is a bit strange from the perspective of the Chinese manufacturer. Four years ago, after the unsuccessful debut of the OnePlus X model, the Chinese said they want to focus only on flagship solutions. Is OnePlus feeling the breath of other competing brands on its back or is it just a desire to increase profits?

One thing is certain: there will be many people willing to be average from the Chinese.
