Whether we want it or not.

We spend more and more time staring at the screen of the smartphone than the computer. This conclusion comes after analyzing the report developed by Sensor Tower. As it turns out – in 2019, more than 9 percent more applications were downloaded compared to 2018. The jump is significant.

30.6 billion services were downloaded from the AppStore and 84.3 billion from the Play Store. That's a total of 114.9 billion – wow! Even if we are dealing here with a kind of surprise, it is rather difficult to find it in the ranking of the most frequently installed programs in the fourth quarter of 2020. Basically, little has changed.

In the first place invariably WhatsApp (about 265 million downloads), followed closely by TikTok (225 million downloads). Next is the almost inseparable trio, i.e. Facebook (170 million downloads), Messenger and Instagram. A little further was Snapchat with 60 million installations.

The mobile gaming market has in turn been monopolized by loudly Call of Duty: Mobile, which 180 million users were tempted by. Interestingly, almost the same number of people installed production on iOS and Android. In second place Sand Balls (95 million downloads), and the podium closes Brain Out (70 million downloads).

Admittedly, mobile services are a growing industry. The situation will probably not change in 2020 – the question in this case is "by what percentage will interest increase?"
