We have the first information.

MIUI 10 is an overlay that is already available for several Xiaomi smartphones – depending on the device, it is "superimposed" on Android 7.8 or 9 Pie. Earlier this year, a Chinese manufacturer announced that it was working on the next release of its software – MIUI 11. Screenshots have appeared on the network that indicate the first changes that will be waiting for users in the next generation Xiaomi overlay. What can you expect then?

All information comes from the accidental implementation of the new version of the MIUI 11 overlay on several devices: smartphones such as Redmi K20 Pro, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S or Xiaomi Mi 6. Links to closed beta testing for MIUI 11 9.9.9 they were available to the public for a short time enabling many users to download the software and install it on their own devices. Blurred places in screenshots are the positions where the device's IMEI number was displayed.

As promised by the manufacturer, we can see in the screenshots new icons used in MIUI 11 overlay. The whole is colorful, but at first glance it does not have a consistent size or shape – in contrast to what Android 10 natively proposes from Google.

The MIUI 11 motto is assumed "Enhancing productivity" via smartphone. The whole translates into a new file sharing system between devices. Not only Xiaomi, but also OPPO and Vivo are working on it – which we informed you some time ago. The new MIUI Always On Display features include, among others, automatic change of the text color and adjustment of the color palette on the display depending on the time of day.

It is worth remembering that what you can see in the screenshots is only an early version of the overlay – so you can assume that over time it will see changes and improvements.

It is currently unknown when you can expect the release of the stable version of MIUI 11.
