YouTuber with the nickname Markiplier started a stream a few days ago with the title "A Heist with Markiplier", during which viewers voted with an emote on how his future will unfold. As you probably guessed, chat was full of emoticons and no one saw anything wrong with it, because that was what fun was based on. Unexpectedly, more viewers quickly disappeared from the chat. To YouTube's surprise, Google's algorithms worked.
Google decided to suspend the accounts of voting stream participants. This is not just about temporary bans on YouTube, but locks imposed on the entire account and all associated services. Transmission participants lost access to Gmail, Google Drive and many other applications that they probably used every day. Do you think that the Internet giant quickly reflected itself and brought accounts back into operation?
Despite cancellation appeals from banned chat participants, the accounts were not unblocked. Google consistently rejected all applications checked this time by the moderators. The penalty for participating in the game seems irrationally high.
Google representatives only after a series of articles published in the online press and the intervention of the streamer itself hit their chest and decided to restore blocked accounts to their users.
Hi Mark – Apologies this happened and thanks for bringing it to our attention. The accounts have been reinstated and we're looking into why the appeals were denied and how we can prevent this in the future.

The confusion associated with the ban imposed on the participants of the fun during the broadcast perfectly shows how much we rely on the grace of providers of various online services in some situations. Imagine that at one point for such an absurd reason you suddenly lose access to all files stored in Google Drive and photos stored in the Google Photos service. How would you feel then?
Besides … who is not abusing emoticons these days ?!
